About

Tim Basom has been an active member of the New York City music scene for over 15 years, building a reputation as a versatile and captivating guitarist. Picking up the guitar at just 13 years old, he turned a passion into a lifelong career, performing professionally across genres including jazz, pop, rock, funk, R&B, gospel, and country.

On stage, Tim has worked on more than a dozen Broadway and Off-Broadway shows and currently holds the guitar chair in Just In Time. His work has also taken him to major concert venues and into the studio, with credits on Dear Evan Hansen and other notable projects, including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Just In Time, and FX's Fosse/Verdon. Along the way, he has had the good fortune to collaborate with a wide range of incredible talent, from Pasek and Paul to Hank Azaria, Sofia Carson, Mandy Gonzalez, Frances Ruffelle, Phillipa Soo, and many others.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Akron and a Master of Music in Instrumental Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

Through it all, his goal has remained the same: to create experiences audiences remember long after the final chord has faded. With every performance, Tim blends technical skill, heart, and a genuine love of music—striving not just to entertain, but to make a meaningful impact in the entertainment industry. Always looking toward the next opportunity, he continues to bring energy, warmth, and unforgettable music to audiences across New York and beyond.
